My opinion - buy the deact.

You'll, almost certainly, never use the PFC for firing in a reenactment. The sound isn't that impressive, collecting the special cartridges after firing is a nightmare and hiring a Section 5 firer for those occasions when you need the firing isn't that expensive.

Only my view of course, listen to others before making your decision.

Deac, what's the point in getting a toy cap gun which is of no use to re-enacting when you can get an original piece of history for less.

The PFC is a fun toy to have but they are very fiddly to run and nowhere near as robust as the real deal. Also they do not bear close examination and can easily be spotted as replicas.

yes they do say "HUDSON MADE IN JAPAN" where the date stamp should be, not nearly as good as "1944" or better still "1941"....think about it
