hello all, was wondering how to go about weathering my AGM mp40, looks too new an shiny at the moment! was thinking of using some silicon oil and fine wire wool to take the edges off? if anyone has any pics for reference or other ways of weathering could they please let me know???

Yep, but a light going over with high grit wet & dry might expose the edges...

You could try using those Nail Buffers - the type with 4 grades of grit...

It's a foam block with a Black, Purple, Pink & White side, used for Nail Care (Raiding the wife's makeup kit pays off )

Drybrushing works too and can give good results.
I've done a few of the plastic 'double eagle' MP40's with drybrushing.. they don't look half bad (at a bit of a distance) I had one slung from the truck as a captured weapon... caught a lot of folk out with it :lol:

right, off to the girlfriends later to raid her makeup drawer!! :lol:
might use dry brushing for the more fiddly bits like the trigger, saves stripping it down
