what has happened to them? Website has not been updated since last year. Have they been depth charged and sunk? Sorry bad joke, but seriously I used to enjoy viewing their event photos and miss them! The conning tower was something special.

regards

Alan

Hi, we are still around but our website 'Admin', unfortunately, changed jobs and resigned from being a full-time member.

At present we don't have anyone with the know-how to update the main website on a regular basis, which is rather a shame. However, the forum is still up and running and lots of up-to-date information and photos are posted in there instead.

We were going to take the conning tower to our second event of the year at Waltham Abbey, but due to problems beyond our control we couldn't in the end. Our next event is at Muckleburgh, Norfolk, on the 26th & 27th June. This will be low-key and without the conning tower. However, we are attending War & Peace, Damyns Hall and the Military Odyssey with the conning tower and one or two extra attractions, courtesy of our WW2 RN submarine veteran, on or near to our display.

At the Odyssey in particular we are almagamating with two other Axis groups, for that show only, in order to form a large, extra-special themed display which is something which we've never done before. Hopefully everyone will like it :D

See you there!

Dear all,

Please note that the U-Boat Society's conning tower is for sale on Milweb:-

We plan to reinvest any monies into another project. Best wishes,

Kevin.
