Epic have just released some kriegsmarine tunics and trousers, anybody tell me if they are the correct type etc.
I know it says identical to wartime version but you cant be to careful

Jackets look o.k. Both seem to have right pocket design, but white version should also have shoulder strap facility
White version only worn by officers and warrent officers, with white fly fronted trousers or sometimes blue.
Tan version could be any rank I think, with matching trousers.
For more gen. see U-Boat Crews 1914-45 in Osprey series by G. Williamson or Hitlers Navy by Jak P. Mallmann Showell.
I have a white version ,which i think started life as a post war German traffic cops summer uniform with new Kriegsmarine buttons and shoulder straps fitted, although have not had opportunity to wear it yet, maybe Haworth next year if Bradford council dont ban Germans!
