I still dont fully understand how you converted the bolt head and all the bits necessary to make it fire 9mm...

Would this be possible with other Pfc firing replicas?

I will give you a demo how its done next time we meet up.

There is a thread on sources for 9mm blank under the General heading.

I had the conversion done for me.

I had few of people asking me if I could get others done - I will have to ask.

Im taking a risk with it as we all know what happen to MGC MP40's after a while ! Will it stand the test of time..... ?

Sounds/works nice though, dont you think ! ?
just seen this what happens to mp40's after a while, just bought one so interested about any faults .. mind you goes through a full mag in about 4 sec's

Hi Ranger Sgt :)

There are several faults that can occur :

"Rear Cup" can be pushed back and damge the frame (I have seen them split)

The locking bar that holds the trigger assymbley to the reciever can in time bend the hole backwards. This will cause the MP40 to come apart or the bolt will "run away" (seen this happen many times)

If you have a cylinder near the rear of your MP40 that holds the lower to the upper - this will cure that problem :)

Depending on how your MGC has been reinforced will give it longer life !

I have also owned and know of many MGC MP40's that have lasted for years without too many problems !

Its all down to the quality of the conversion I suppose...... ?

Hey folks, I just bought a Shoei MP44 from Modelgun collector.... they emailed me to tell me that they are hoping to start doing 9mm blank fire conversions for these replicas in the near future! I wonder where they got that idea? ;) either way! I'm sure everyones going to have one!
Also they are doing MP38 9mm blankfirers soon too their advertised on the website right now check it out! (It's in the custom builds section).
