Yes it was. How much it was used is unknown. The Soviets had a very direct way of testing weapon design ideas - go out and see how many fascists you could kill with it. Forget your theoretical tests, just have a go and see what happens. What was to be the rifle of the post-war Soviet Army, the SKS, was tested exactly like this during the GPW. |
