Does anyone make legal replicas of the innards of the aircraft-pattern .50 cal?

Basically those parts that were removed from the guns in USAAF aircraft between missions, namely the barrel, barrel extension, accelerator/buffer and bolt.
You usually see parts in bomber crew photos.

All the best,
Paul

There's a guy on Milweb makes M2HB replicas his name escapes me - hopefully this is a start

Cheers for that,

I've had a look at many of the replicas online, but they all seem to specifically omit the innards. :(

Here's a couple of photo's for reference:

Paul - that looks as if it could be turned on a Lathe.

The barrel certainly could be, it's the rest that need making up accurately.

Would solid metalised resin castings of the bolt/barrel carrier/buffer assemblies be legal these post-VCR days?
Of course, that requires someone with an Aircraft Pattern M2 on an FAC5 to provide the masters for moulding...... oh dear.

TTFN,
Paul

Try taking the measurement from a de-act and make a master out of wood to copy in resin etc.

Good idea - KarlUK was casting grenades wasn't he? AFAIR they were bloody good copies too.
