Not totally sure on this one. But,is it possible to convert from one to the other without interfering with the deactivication work?

If so,has anyone got any A6 bits for sale?

M1919A6

* Modified M1919A4 for infantry use as a "light machine gun". The A6 featured a buttstock and a bipod, and the kit could easily be used to retrofit earlier models to this standard.

You can get a butt stock from these: http://www.northridgeinc.com/machine_gun_parts.htm

or the kit from these:
http://www.floridagunworks.com/p-1010.html

Hope this helps!!

Cheers,

Ideally,i'd rather buy from here in the UK,but if i have no luck then i may have to go further afield.

Thing is,would i be interfering with the deactivication work if i changed it to an A6. If so,i'll leave it as it is,a lovely A4.

Ta

Manny

Not if you just fit a buttstock you won't.......

Carrying handle - should be fine as well....

Bipod - should be fine...

Muzzle Break.... well, it depends on how the front end of you A4 is welded up - if you can unscrew the existing muzzle break, then you're fine, surely?

Cheers,
Glen.

Make one! this guy made one for about £30, you will need a basic knowledge of metalwork, some hand tools, saw, file, bench & vice, check here on e bay, he will be doing thompson plans too soon:

The barrell shroud is shorter on a 1919A6, as the bipod sits on a longer barrell support, there was on for sale at stoneleigh for £30. Best bet would be to buy a Israeli 1919A4 to A6 conversion kit as they used the same design of parts except the bipod is designed to fit over the existing A4 barrell shroud and clamp on to it. I did post some photos of the parts from my A6 somewhere on this site.
